The evaluation and generic qualification of waters is performed by the National Institute of Hygiene on the basis of documentation assessment and test results; it is valid for a period of five years from the date of filing, if the chemical composition of water and the content of the components determining the characteristics and generic qualification of the water have not changed.

All natural mineral waters which are positively assessed and classified  are appeared on the European and national register of waters.
