The location of the springs

Gorzanów, is in the vicinity of the well-known resort Polanica-Zdrój, within the Sudety Mountains, in the green, unpolluted area away from the industry.

The Gorzanów district is particularly beneficial to the accumulation of groundwater due to a graben and water-bearing sediments that fill the graben.

Water is drawn from the Upper Cretaceous deposits.

The intakes of Gorzanów are of a free-outflow character, which means that the water flows as the result of the natural artesian pressure - without the usage of pumps. This is an enormous advantage, because drawing the water does not affect the structure of the deposit and thereby a natural stable physico-chemical composition of bottled water can be obtained.

The traditions of drawing the waters from the deposits of Gorzanów date back to the 19th century.

The „Sudety” spring

  • hydro-geological designation: No. 7M
  • a free-outflow (an artesian well)
  • depth: 124 m
  • the pressure of the out-flow 2 atmospheric pressure (20 MPa) – if we allowed the free flow of water from the spring - a 20-metre high fountain would be formed

The „Familijna” Spring

  • hydro-geological designation: No.5
  • a free-outflow (an artesian well)
  • depth: 75.5 m
  • the pressure of the out-flow 2 atmospheric pressure (20 MPa)
